Historic Preservation Advisory Commission (HAC)


Join us at an upcoming Gilpin County Historic Preservation Advisory Commission (HAC) meeting! This commission, advisory to the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC), makes recommendations on preservation issues, programs, policies, landmark designations and stay-of-demolition reviews.  Gilpin County is a Certified Local Government (CLG).

HAC’s public meetings are held in the Gilpin County Courthouse, 203 Eureka Street in Central City, at 6:00 p.m., quarterly on the third Thursday of the month and as needed. For additional information call Tami Archer, Commission Secretary, at 303-582-5831.

****After the conclusion of the meeting, the commissioners will take a field trip to Russell Gulch to see first-hand the resources identified in the two surveys. The public is welcome to attend. In case of inclement weather the meeting may be cancelled. A cancellation notice will be posted on this page.*****
